Hi guys Flashing latest Stock ROM ended up getting lost IMEI numbers in Elephone P9000. I know that I had something to mess, MKT drivers in Windows initially didn't work properly and in time, flashing SP Flash Tool had a little mess. The phone workes, WIFI too - only network shows 'only emergency calls' and IMEI numbers in settings as 'unknown.' I work with it for two days and I think I have already used the 99% of solutions, and probably I do something incorrect or anything here doesn't work anymore. I root phone, so I could use programs such as Chamelephon, MobileUncle Tools, etc. Unfortunately, after phone restart, message about the lack of IMEI still showing.
MTK Engineering Mode doesn't contain the 'Connectivity' - 'CDS Information', so I can not do anything more from phone level. Write SN Tool (v2.1504.00) - error message: 'EnterModemMetaTolnitModemDB : MetaResult = METAWAITFORTARGETREADYTIMEOUT.' IMEI & SN Writer (v1.5.3) - Bootup Fail!!! MauiMETA 3G (v9.1604.2) and MauiMETA 3G (v7.1444.0) - Statement: 'Execution Failure: Download IMEI to flash, please check the version of NVRAM and load database are the same.' Folder 'root' in the 'data' is empty - it was written somewhere that's where the file is located responsible for the IMEI. I have no idea.
I installed the latest drivers for MTK and all kind of work programs connect to the phone. The SP Flash Tool v5.1552.00.000 I can easily root phone or install any ROM. I can't still to restore/overwrite IMEI numbers.
Any of you had a similar problem or just knows how to solve it? Please help, I have no strength for it. Sorry for my English;).
9.Click on Change NVRAM database files and select your database file:Coolpad Note 3 users can use this file. 10.After successful loading of database enter your IMEI for first SIM and click “Download to flash”.
I managed to get this resolved in the end after piecing together information from various guides and sites. I think there was still some leftover NVRAM data from the new rom which caused the exception failure in Maui META which was suggesting there was a mismatch between the loaded NVRAM DB and the Phone NVRAM. To clear this and start completely fresh I used the 'Format' tab in SP Flash Tool, here I selected 'Auto Format Flash' and 'Format whole flash except Bootloader' then clicked 'Start' and connected my (powered off) phone. Once the format was complete I then used the SP Flash Tool to re-flash the Stock Rom, booted the phone, let it fully start up and then turned it off again, I was then able to use Maui META to restore the old IMEI settings for SIM1 and SIM2.
Hopefully this will help anyone else facing the same exception failure in Maui META. Hi pioter191, Thank you for the info, can I ask which version of MauiMETA you used? Did you follow a guide, if so could you link it here or PM it to me? My phone successfully connects to MauiMETA and I can load the NVRAM Database file from the ROM files 'MDDBInfoCustomAppSrcPMT6755S00MOLYLR11W1539MDMPV9P15.EDB' After typing in my IMEI and pressing the 'Down to flash' button I get the following message 'Execution Failure: Download IMEI to flash, please check the versions of load and NVRAM database are same.' I'm fairly sure they should be the same as I have flashed my device with Stock ROM 20160810 after previously trying to install CyanogenMod Stable Build 4. Any hints, thoughts, tips or ideas would be very welcome. Many thanks, benzini.
I must admit that I had some luck with it all. I was able to upload the IMEI, but nothing more I can't tell you. In device manager I set the USB port, according to what I wrote above. Version of the software which I used - 'MauiMETA 3G' (v9.1604.2).

Fortunately, I kept links to guides. I had hundreds of them, but these finally helped me. First, do this: Then this: I hope this time it worked. I don't know how meaningful it, but I connected the phone to a USB 2.0 port.

USB 3.0 doesn't work with programs like 'MauiMETA 3G' or 'SP Flash Tool'.
